“A cohesive family” facing challenges with “innovation and resilience”

Under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, President of the General Women's Union, and Chairwoman of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood « Mother of the UAE », the events of the third round of the first social awareness campaign “A cohesive family…a tolerant society…a secure homeland”, which was launched by the Family Development Foundation on 3rd March 2019 and which will continue till 15th May 2019 will be launched today. The events of the third round which extends till 25th April 2019 bears the slogan “Innovation and Family Resilience” will be held in the Abu Dhabi, Al Dhafra and Al Ain centers in Abu Dhabi, as part of the Abu Dhabi Family Stability Strategy, approved by the Executive Committee of the Emirate, simultaneously with the International Day of Families aiming at enabling the family to be an active partner in achieving the goals of sustainable development 2030, and increasing the effectiveness of coordination and cooperation and the synergy of local and national efforts in their implementation.

The third round aims at creating a culture of creativity, innovation and family resilience to build family relationships that achieve happiness and well-being of the family through creativity and innovation in the methods of upbringing to meet the contemporary challenges facing the family, developing the capacity of mothers to have resilience and innovation in how to deal with children, and consolidating the culture of exchange of emotional interest, effective family communication, and qualitative time, as well as achieving social sustainability by encouraging mothers to think creatively about the problems of children, apply innovative solutions to reduce their recurrence of such problems, and raise the awareness of families with the skills necessary to successfully and properly handle problems in case of emergency, so that they can recover and return to their functions in the shortest possible time.
