About Al Bateen Scientific Private school

The school idea starts in 1985 as a preschool (nursery) to serve the children of the women who enrolled at the elder teaching center.

 Under the parents request to expand the Teaching center. Al-Bateen Scientific School was initially established as a KG school in Feb 28th, 1988, since then the school has developed gradually to include both the Arabic and the American Section up to the last academic year 2011-2012.

 In the current academic year 2012-2013, it has been decided that Al-Bateen school will be an American Curriculum, but still stick to the customs and traditions of the UAE society and instilling Islamic values ethics in the hearts of the students from the early stage​s.

The school was accredited by (CITA) in 2005 and granted a certificate of excellence by (ADVANCED) which has been renewed lately in 2015 for more 5 years.

The school has been also granted many awards and trophies for participating in a wide range of competitions and activities like Hamdan Bin Rashed Award for the outstanding teaching performance, Al-Sharja Award, The Student Crescent Award, The Environment Award (Creative models from Recycled Metal Materials), The Cultural Passport Award, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Khalid Al-Nihyan Award for Generations… and others. The school is known for its initiatives in the environmental and sustainable projects. Thus, the school has fulfilled a lot of achievements in that field, mainly building up the Green House.

Admission Policy

 

Student admission, registration and distribution:  

The school shall prepare a policy for admitting students and submit it to the Council for approval according to the requirements contained in the Private Schools Policies & Guidance Manual, taking into account the school's commitment to the provisions contained in this resolution. Schools may register students at any time during the academic year. 
             

Distributing students in classes according to age group:

Students - including the disabled (special needs students) - usually join classes according to age groups and pursuant to the Private Schools Policies & Guidance Manual in this regard.

Admission to KG and Grade 1

 

Students requesting admission to the KG Stage are admitted according to age as determined by ADEC and as places are available. Priority is given to applicants who have siblings in the school.

Admission to Grades 1-12

 

Students requesting admission to grades 1-12 have to sit for an admission test in English, Math and Arabic. Admission will depend on scoring 50% or higher on the test and availability of seats. Priority is given to applicants who have siblings in the school.
